Leaving the Fold is a collaborative art exhibit exploring the themes of leaving high control systems, spiritual transformation, healing, and rebuilding. Twenty one artists who have left high control religions or secular groups will be showing their work in a variety of media, including painting, collage, video, sculpture, music performance and writing. The objectives of the exhibit are to foster honest dialogue and connect around experiences that are often lived in fear.

The opening reception is on September 18, 2026 from 5-9pm at Art Design Xchange in Portland, Oregon. Artist musicians will be performing their pieces live from 7-9pm.
