Parking Lot TRANSFORMATION

ADX is embarking on a major transformation of our parking lot! Using a community “barn raising” method, we will transform our underutilized parking lot into a central public gathering space for locals and visitors alike. Designed and built by local artists, makers, builders, musicians, performance artists, sculptors, horticultural artists and you! Get involved and help us make this beautiful transformation happen!

Funding from the CET Better Together Grant allows us to fund an assortment of artist installations, including a mural, sculpture installations, and creative planting. Partnerships with City Repair, Fox Fern Tattoos, Alchemik Native Made Pottery, and KB+BA will creatively develop the space into a beautiful city oasis.

There are many opportunities to be involved:

March 13th, 6-9 pm: Community Design Charrette

Join us for our first brainstorm and strategy session at ADX on Thursday, March 13th from 6pm-9pm to add your input to the design strategy! Snacks and beverages provided.

May 24th 9am - 4pm: Artist-led all in one day build! Our installation will be facilitated in collaboration with City Repair who believes in the power of communities to transform their urban spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity and community life. Snacks, lunch and beverages provided.

June 6th - 8th Grand Opening Celebration Volunteer to help with various aspects of our big grand opening party.

June - December 2025 Host your event or community gathering in our new space! We are actively looking for collaborators who love to bring people together for live music, clothe swaps, marketplaces, performing arts, dance cyphers, and other artistically engaging experiences for our community.
